FACILITIES UNDER “ARECA RESEARCH FUND”

Facilities from Areca Research Fund:

• Financial assistance for all research activities that preserves the areca crops.

• Financial aid for new inventions and developments in the areca processing machines/equipments.

• Pest and disease control in areca forms through proper guidance from the scientists of University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences.

• Scientific and Technical assistance from University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga and Jawaharlal Neharu National College of Engineering, Shivamogga.

 

WARE HOUSING FACILITIES:

• Members can store their produce in the Society godowns without fee for one year.

• Members can avail transportation facilities from one branch to any branch of their wish to get competitive price quotes.

• Cleaning machines are installed at Shivamogga, Bhadravati, Tarikere, koppa, Chennagiri

• Goods Lift is installed at Shivamogga, Sagara, koppa, Hosanagara, Kote Road Direct Purchase.

 

INSURANCE FACILITIES

• Group Insurance Plan: MAMCOS has implemented a “Group Insurance Scheme” for its members, in which members and their unnamed labour s and  named family members will be insured by pay a premium through the nearest branches.
• By paying Rs.575-00 per person member can register “N” number of labours.
• In 2022-23 Rs.76,08,826.00 compensation has been given in 72 cases under this scheme .

71-80 years (only for members 71-80 years and their unnamed labour must be under 70 years)	Rs.1,050.00	Rs.1.50 lakh, Hospital treatment expenses and ambulance expenses up to Rs.1,000.00	In case of accidental death the death benefit is Rs.5.00 lakh for members & and Rs.6.00 lakh for labours Ambulance cost maximum Rs.2,500.00
81-90 years (only for members 71-80 years and their unnamed labour must be under 70 years)	Rs.990.00	Rs.1.00 lakh for members &Rs.1.50 lakh for laborers for Hospital treatment expenses and ambulance expenses up to Rs.1,000.00	In case of accidental death the death benefit is For members – Rs.4.00 lakh and for laborers Rs.6.00 lakh and ambulance cost up to Rs.2,500.00
To the member’s family(For those between 10-70 years of age,  husband /wife,son/daughter-in-law /unmarried daughter/ brother/sister)	Rs.170.00(per head)	Hospital treatment expenses Rs.50,000/- and ambulance expenses up to Rs.1,000.00	In case of accidental death the death benefit is Rs.2.00 lakh and ambulance cost up to Rs.1,000.00

TECHNOLOGICAL FACILITIES

• All transactions of the society are fully computerized.
• “Areca nut Technology Information Center” has been established in Head Office, to provide latest information in the field to the members.
• Society is having its own website called
  mamcos.info
• Arrangements have been made to send Areca Tender rates to the registered member’s mobiles through SMS.

 

SMART CARDS

Photo identity Cards (Smart cards) are issued to the members. Smart card is compulsory to transact in the society, to avail various facilities quickly, to participate in the general body and to vote in the elections.

 

Member Death Relif Fund:

Members who are below 60 years, if select in the slabs of ` 3000, 5,000 & 10,000 and register, their nominees/legal heirs will be paid 15, 000, 25,000 & 50,000 respectively subject to certain terms and  Conditions under “ Maranothara Nidhi”
